While it's tough to beat a dance floor for quality time with your wedding guests, there's a new reception trend in town—and it may be the best possible way to add that extra comfort and ambiance to your celebration.
We're talking about Wedding Lounge Areas. No matter your wedding's style or location, a lounge area is one great way to completely customize your space, and create a cozy, comfortable location for guests to sit back, relax, and sip that signature cocktail.
Here are some Tips for Wedding Lounge areas:
Provide Seating for 8+ – Make sure your lounge area can accommodate at least 8 people so that it keeps a warm, social and inviting space.
Lighting – Lighting the lounge is a fun way to set the ambiance and glam up the space.
Decorate with Bold Accents – From pillows and flowers to umbrellas and light fixtures, pull in pops of color around your main lounge area.
Add a Backdrop – Create a wall behind the lounge by using boxwood hedges.
Create Multiple Lounges in One – We love this idea! Start with a table with a tall floral arrangement as your center. Then place the back side of 4 sofas or banquettes around it. Then build your lounges by adding more pieces to the four sides. Just be sure to keep all four areas uniform in look.
Build a “Patio” – Setup your lounge to look like a “patio” off of your tent space! Lay down sisal rugs or carpet to cover the area and string cafe lights above. Then set your lounge up as you wish.
